Training Manager – Ukraine Operations

About the role

The Ukraine Training Manager leads Shield AI’s V‑BAT customer training program supporting Ukraine. Based in Dallas, the role initially involves an extended deployment to Ukraine and later returns to the U.S. office, overseeing safe and effective instruction aligned with approved Programs of Instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily training and sustainment operations in coordination with the Managing Director and field teams.
• Act as the primary liaison with Ukrainian and NATO customers, facilitating planning, mission execution, and issue resolution.
• Manage deployment cycles and theater movement of personnel, ensuring all operational and logistical requirements are met.
• Oversee intelligence and operations fusion, providing timely collection, analysis, and dissemination for mission planning.
• Implement force protection measures, export compliance, and operational risk mitigation procedures.
• Support integration of new technologies into operational environments and supervise their field‑level deployment.
• Coordinate across training, logistics, and sustainment lines of effort to enable successful outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of operational leadership experience in military, defense contracting, or international field operations.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring teams in dynamic or austere environments.
• Ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholders for mission‑critical activities.
• Strong organizational, reporting, and communication capabilities.
• Familiarity with force protection, export compliance, and logistics in deployed settings.
• Technical acumen to manage field‑level integration of new technologies.
