Tenure-Track Faculty – Energy & Environmental Engineering

About the role

The University of Miami College of Engineering is seeking exceptional scholars for two full‑time, tenure‑track faculty positions in Energy and Environmental Science. The appointments will focus on either Indoor Air Environment and Building Energy Modeling or Life Cycle Assessment and Techno‑Economic Analysis for sustainable civil infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead cutting‑edge research programs in building energy systems, indoor air quality, or sustainable infrastructure assessment.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in civil, mechanical, or architectural engineering related to sustainability and resilience.
• Secure external research funding and collaborate with industry, government agencies, and interdisciplinary partners.
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to curriculum development.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong scholarly record with publications in relevant areas.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative, interdisciplinary research teams.
