Temporary Lecturer – CalStateTEACH Teacher Preparation

About the role

The CalStateTEACH program at Fresno State seeks experienced teacher leaders or administrators to join its Temporary Faculty Pool as part‑time lecturers. You will support multiple‑subject teacher candidates through online coursework, site‑based clinical experiences, and cohort development.

Key responsibilities

• Interview and admit candidates, advise them throughout the credential program, and foster a collaborative learning community.
• Guide candidates through the CalStateTEACH curriculum, monitor progress on Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs), and provide formative and summative feedback.
• Design and evaluate classroom performance assessments, including mock Teaching Performance Assessments (TPA).
• Coordinate field placements, supervise site‑based instruction, and serve as liaison to mentor teachers and school personnel.
• Support candidates preparing for the CSET, deliver regional seminars, and facilitate Saturday cohort meetings.
• Participate in regional faculty meetings and contribute to program and faculty development initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as a teacher leader, administrator, or seasoned educator.
• Commitment to equity and the ability to work with diverse student populations.
• Strong background in clinical supervision and instructional rounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional directors and school partners.
