Technical Program Manager, Security

About the role

Cape is hiring its first Security Technical Program Manager to build the function from scratch. You will work across detection & response, corporate security, and product security, translating security requirements into actionable plans for the broader engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the security program’s strategy, priorities, and progress to the business.
• Shape the adoption of new security tools, from vendor selection through implementation.
• Manage the security engineering backlog, prioritize work, and drive execution across all three security pillars.
• Serve as the technical liaison between security engineers and the ~70 product engineers, translating risk into actionable requirements.
• Partner with security leadership to plan roadmaps, run program rituals, and unblock cross‑team dependencies.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a TPM or PM embedded with a security team that builds tooling and systems in‑house.
• Solid grounding in computer‑engineering fundamentals and ability to dive deep on technical detail.
• Proven track record defining and communicating technical programs to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong prioritization and backlog‑management skills with sound judgment on what matters most.
• Comfort operating as a trusted technical liaison between specialized teams and a large, distributed engineering organization.
