Technical Director – Theater & Conference Center

About the role

The Technical Director is responsible for the daily technical operations of Hempstead Hall’s theater and conference center. This role ensures that lighting, sound, and event setups are executed smoothly and safely, reporting directly to the Director.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and safeguard all technical assets of the center.
• Coordinate and supervise part‑time and volunteer staff for events.
• Manage lighting and sound equipment for productions and conferences.
• Set up and break down event technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain inventory of technical supplies.

Required profile

• Reports directly to the Director.
• Capable of supervising part‑time and volunteer staff.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
