Systems Administrator

About the role

Blueport is looking for an on‑site Systems Administrator to join its Walpole facility. You will support and enhance the internal IT function, ensuring that servers, networks, and endpoints run reliably and securely in a fast‑growing, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain day‑to‑day operations of servers, systems, and network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and hardware.
• Monitor system performance to guarantee availability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory, Office 365).
• Perform routine backups and support disaster‑recovery processes.
• Support virtualization (Hyper‑V) and cloud environments (AWS).
• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and routing components.
• Apply security updates and ensure compliance with IT policies.
• Provide endpoint support for laptops and mobile devices.
• Maintain accurate system documentation and configurations.

Required profile

• Highly organized, methodical self‑starter with strong business judgment.
• Effective project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering teams.
