Supervising Producer – Spanish News

About the role

The Supervising Producer for CNN en Español leads the editorial and production vision for daily news programs across linear TV and streaming platforms. Reporting to the VP of Programming, you will shape content strategy, oversee live news coverage, and ensure a seamless, high‑quality experience for Spanish‑language audiences in the U.S. and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the editorial vision and daily rundown structure.
• Drive breaking‑news and rolling coverage in coordination with senior leadership.
• Oversee end‑to‑end production, from planning and line‑producing to live execution.
• Make real‑time editorial decisions to maintain accuracy, clarity, and urgency on air.
• Accelerate TV content turnaround for FAST‑streaming channels and optimize it for digital and social platforms.
• Supervise senior producers and production teams, setting editorial standards.
• Manage staffing, assignments, and production logistics for efficient workflows.
• Integrate on‑air graphics and visual elements to enhance storytelling and brand identity.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with newsgathering, digital, planning, promotions, field and technical operations, and graphics teams.
• Use audience data and performance metrics to inform programming decisions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in news production and editorial leadership, preferably in Spanish‑language broadcasting.
• Proven ability to manage large, fast‑paced production teams and deliver high‑quality content.
• Strong understanding of multi‑platform distribution, including linear TV, streaming, and digital/social.
• Excellent decision‑making under pressure and a keen sense of audience relevance.
