About the role

The Graduate Summer Associate Program at the New York Innovation Center offers a ten‑week, full‑time internship for graduate students interested in finance, technology, and central‑bank research. Interns join a collaborative team of researchers, analysts, strategists, and technologists to explore high‑value opportunities for the Federal Reserve.

Key responsibilities

• Support the NYIC team in aligning strategic objectives and tracking key outcomes.
• Collaborate on business cases, implementation plans, and metric development for strategic projects.
• Conduct technical and market research to identify emerging technologies relevant to central banking.
• Analyze data and trends, providing insights and recommendations for potential applications.
• Contribute to research, experimentation, and prototyping activities within the Markets Group.

Required profile

• Graduate student pursuing a degree in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in financial markets, central‑bank operations, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to work onsite in New York for the duration of the program.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
