Staff Engineer – Project Engineering

About the role

As a Staff Engineer you will lead capital projects from concept through execution, driving factory performance and innovation in Nestlé’s pet‑care manufacturing operations in Allentown.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the development, implementation and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Prepare estimates, evaluate bids, award contracts and issue all documents and drawings for construction on assigned projects.
• Create concepts and designs in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary and budgetary procedures and specifications.
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets; monitor progress against milestones and deliverables, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Direct the installation and integration of new equipment as well as modifications and overhauls of existing equipment.
• Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity and budgeting.
• Champion Nestlé safety, health, quality and environmental objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment.
• 1+ year of technical project‑management experience preferred.
