Speech Pathology Assistant – Kids First Clinic

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Speech Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join the interdisciplinary team at the Kids First clinic. You will support the Speech Therapist in delivering evidence‑based therapy to children from birth to five years old who have communication, oral‑motor, or feeding disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Speech Therapist in planning and implementing therapy sessions for the birth‑to‑5 population.
• Provide direct therapy using evidence‑based techniques for communication and oral‑motor/feeding challenges.
• Collaborate with other professionals on the Kids First team to ensure coordinated care.
• Travel to additional Kids First locations as needed to support service delivery.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Communication Disorders or a Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant program.
• Arkansas license as a Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant, or eligibility to obtain the license within one month of hire.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.
