Spanish Teacher for Grades 4‑8 Magnet School

About the role

The school is launching a non‑traditional magnet program for grades 4‑8 in August 2026. We are looking for a certified Spanish teacher to provide rigorous language instruction within a STEM‑focused, interdisciplinary, project‑based curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a Spanish curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Integrate Spanish instruction with interdisciplinary STEM projects and the design process.
• Collaborate positively with fellow teachers to create cohesive learning experiences.
• Assess student progress and prepare 7th‑ and 8th‑grade students for Carnegie courses that earn high‑school credit.
• Participate in school community activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Hold a Georgia Professional Standards Commission teaching certificate in Foreign Language – Spanish (grades 6‑12).
• Have successfully passed the GACE exam in Foreign Language – Spanish (grades 6‑12).
• Demonstrate a growth mindset, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
