SNAP Education & Training Coordinator

About the role

The SNAP Education & Training Coordinator will serve SNAP E&T participants across assigned counties, delivering career and educational services that promote self‑sufficiency. Working within the Adult Education Division of the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope‑Texarkana, the coordinator will help participants overcome barriers such as childcare and transportation while guiding them toward employment, upskilling, or further education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized career counseling, job search assistance, and educational planning for SNAP E&T clients.
• Coordinate and deliver workshops on resume writing, interview techniques, and skill development.
• Identify and address barriers to participation, including arranging childcare, transportation solutions, and other support services.
• Maintain accurate case records and track participant progress toward self‑sufficiency goals.
• Collaborate with community partners, employers, and internal college departments to expand training and employment opportunities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in adult education, workforce development, or related social services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations.
• Ability to assess client needs and develop tailored action plans.
• Commitment to promoting self‑sufficiency and community empowerment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SNAP Education & Training program guidelines.
• Proficiency in case management documentation.
