Service Technician – Yardly Eden

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical condition of its Yardly Eden property in Arlington. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform hands‑on repairs safely.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking work orders, inventory, and documentation.
• Willingness to work onsite and handle physical tasks in various weather conditions.
