Service Technician – Avana Cordoba

About the role

The Service Technician for the Avana Cordoba community will ensure that all building systems, grounds, and common‑area amenities meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. Working on‑site in Phoenix, you will respond to resident requests, perform preventative maintenance and prepare vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing them in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Track and retrieve tools, equipment and supplies from the maintenance department, maintain inventory records and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs according to established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation and inventory management.
• Commitment to safety practices and compliance with local codes.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and manage supplies for make‑ready projects.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning, pressure‑washing and basic painting tasks.
