Senior Research Assistant (12‑month)

About the role

The Senior Research Assistant will act as Program Manager for the Arkansas Certified Public Manager (CPM) Program, a nationally accredited leadership and management initiative. Based in the School of Public Affairs, this 12‑month grant‑funded position supports the Arkansas Public Administration Consortium (APAC) and contributes to the university’s research mission.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the CPM program, including curriculum delivery and participant coordination.
• Plan, organize, and execute training sessions, workshops, and conferences.
• Manage program budgets, grant reporting, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to enhance program quality.
• Maintain accurate records, evaluate program outcomes, and prepare reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in training, program management, or conference/event coordination.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
