Senior Principal Tech Architect – Systematic Trading

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Principal Tech Architect to lead the design and development of its Trading and Trading Analytics platforms. You will collaborate closely with traders, quantitative analysts, business analysts, and global technology partners to deliver innovative, high‑performance solutions that empower the firm’s systematic trading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Trading Quants to translate business requirements into forward‑looking technical solutions.
• Work with the Product Owner to break down development tasks for the squad.
• Participate in hands‑on development, code reviews, test case design, and SDLC pipeline creation.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Security teams to enforce best practices.
• Influence system design to ensure loose coupling and alignment with Invesco’s future‑state platform.

Required profile

• 15+ years of Java full‑stack development experience.
• 8+ years experience as a technical architect.
• Proven ability to design microservices‑based solutions and apply design patterns.
• Experience delivering large‑scale, mission‑critical trading applications.
