Senior Associate Production Planning

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate in Production Planning to maintain material schedules, address shortages, and execute supply chain strategies. You will ensure smooth material flow and support production control for Alcon’s eye‑care products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain schedules for material requirements and availability to support production control.
• Compile records of material quantity, cost, and type received, shipped, in stock, or in production.
• Support the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across departments according to schedules.
• Identify and address material shortages, alerting relevant parties and recommending remedial actions.
• Estimate and log production rates and lead times to meet shipping dates.
• Handle direct material buying and execute long‑term supply chain strategies.
• Monitor production to ensure promised delivery dates are met and generate progress reports.
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following SOPs, maintaining documentation, and completing required training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 10 years, associate + 6 years, M.S. + 0 years).
• Strong understanding of supplier processes, production rates, and material flow.
• Commitment to regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and quality control.
