RN PRN – Cardiac Cath Lab

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) on a PRN (as‑needed) basis to support the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This temporary, fixed‑term position provides flexible shift coverage for a high‑acuity cardiovascular environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, monitoring, and post‑procedure care in the cardiac cath lab.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and UAMS policies.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures, recovery, and follow‑up care.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in Arkansas with legal authority to work in the United States.
• Experience in cardiac catheterization or related cardiovascular nursing preferred.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
