RN – Interventional Pain Clinic/Procedural

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Interventional Pain Clinic. This full‑time, day‑shift position provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced procedural environment, supporting physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and monitor patients undergoing interventional pain procedures.
• Assist physicians with procedural set‑up, equipment preparation, and post‑procedure recovery.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families about pain management plans, medication usage, and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and safety.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Arkansas.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Experience in acute or procedural nursing, preferably in pain management or interventional settings.
• Ability to work day‑shift hours and respond to emergent situations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural nursing protocols.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision‑making abilities.
