About the role
The National Agricultural Law Center (NALC) is seeking remote Research Fellows to join a pool of qualified candidates. Fellows will support the Center’s mission by conducting legal research and producing written analyses that inform state, regional, and national stakeholders on agricultural and food law issues.
Key responsibilities
- Perform in‑depth legal research on agricultural, food, and environmental law topics.
- Draft research reports, policy briefs, and scholarly articles for NALC and its partners.
- Summarize statutes, regulations, case law, and legislative developments relevant to the Center’s projects.
- Collaborate with faculty, extension staff, and external stakeholders to ensure research aligns with program goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sources and research methodology.
Required profile
- Graduate‑level education in law, agricultural policy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent legal research and produce clear written work.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines.
