About the role

ScaleNorth is seeking a client‑facing Remote Financial Controller to lead its accounting and finance team. This full‑time, exempt position works 100% remotely and supports a diverse portfolio of mid‑market clients across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a distributed accounting team, ensuring high‑quality client service.
• Onboard new clients, set up accounting processes, and triage balance‑sheet issues.
• Prepare, review, and present financial statements, cash‑flow models, and five‑year forecasts for valuations and board meetings.
• Develop and maintain financial models and client financial statements.
• Identify and implement process improvements using cutting‑edge technology.
• Scale accounting operations for emerging and mid‑market businesses.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading accounting or finance teams in a client‑service environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for technology adoption and continuous process improvement.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
