Rehab Therapy Aide – Occupational Therapy Inpatient

About the role

The Rehab Therapy Aide provides essential support to the Occupational Therapy inpatient team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Working day shifts, the aide helps ensure a safe, efficient environment for patient rehabilitation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists with patient preparation and positioning for therapy sessions.
• Transport patients to and from therapy areas while maintaining safety protocols.
• Prepare and clean treatment spaces and equipment before and after use.
• Document patient activities and observations in accordance with department procedures.
• Maintain inventory of therapy supplies and report any equipment issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare training preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work day shifts and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
