Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Unit (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical‑Surgical Unit on the 3rd shift (nights). The position is 0.9 FTE and supports both orthopedic and general medical‑surgical patients at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24‑bed orthopedic center and an 11‑bed medical/surgical unit.
• Monitor patients using telemetry, administer continuous medication infusions, and manage wounds, tubes, and drains.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, unit clerks, a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Educator, and Operations Coordinator.
• Participate in shared‑governance councils, patient‑outcome teams (e.g., falls, skin integrity), and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks according to staffing matrices and licensure.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current Wisconsin RN license or ability to obtain at hire.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to work night shifts and provide high‑quality patient‑centered care.
