Registered Nurse – Medical Oncology Night Shift (H7)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the H7 Medical Oncology unit at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock. This full‑time night‑shift position provides direct patient care to adults undergoing oncology treatment, supporting a multidisciplinary team dedicated to high‑quality, compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients during night hours, including assessment, medication administration, and symptom management.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health staff to coordinate treatment plans and ensure patient safety.
• Monitor and document patient responses to chemotherapy and other therapies, reporting any adverse events promptly.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment regimens, side‑effects, and post‑discharge care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Arkansas.
• Experience in medical oncology or related acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and respond to emergent situations.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
