Registered Nurse – Medical Oncology Clinic

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Medical Oncology Clinic in Little Rock. This full‑time, day‑shift position provides direct patient care within a multidisciplinary oncology team, supporting the delivery of high‑quality cancer treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for oncology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications according to protocols.
• Monitor patient responses, manage side effects, and coordinate with physicians and pharmacists.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side‑effect management, and self‑care.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Arkansas.
• Experience in oncology or acute care nursing preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and continuous quality improvement.
