Registered Nurse – Head and Neck Oncology Clinic

About the role

The Registered Nurse will join the Head and Neck Oncology Clinic at UAMS, providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports a multidisciplinary team focused on improving outcomes for Arkansans.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and symptom management.
• Coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and follow‑up visits within the clinic.
• Document clinical information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side‑effects, and self‑care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless care delivery.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
• Experience in oncology or acute care nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Ability to perform clinical documentation and charting.
• Knowledge of oncology nursing protocols and medication administration.
