Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

House of Forgings and its subsidiaries are seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing Coordinator to manage procurement processes, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure timely, cost‑effective acquisition of materials and services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of materials, supplies, and services according to company specifications.
• Maintain and update purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with departments to prevent shortages.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards.
• Research and identify new suppliers to improve cost efficiency and quality.
• Resolve order discrepancies, delays, or other vendor concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor agreements.
• Prepare reports and provide insights on purchasing activities to management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support operational goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related role.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of the electrical supply or distribution industry is a plus.
