Public Information Intern – UN Web TV

About the role

The Public Information Intern will support the UN Web TV platform, assisting with live and on‑demand streaming of United Nations meetings and events. The role provides hands‑on experience with video publishing and social‑media distribution in a multilingual, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to daily live and on‑demand streaming coverage of UN meetings via the UN Web TV platform.
• Upload videos and add relevant language metadata using a cloud video platform.
• Assist with streaming content on UN social‑media channels, including YouTube, Facebook (UNWebTV) and Twitter (UNWebTV).
• Support additional tasks related to content preparation and publication.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed the final year of a bachelor’s program, or a graduate program (master’s or Ph.D.).
• Computer literate in standard word‑processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to its Charter.
• Ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Required skills

• Familiarity with cloud video platforms for video uploading.
• Experience with metadata tagging for multilingual content.
• Basic proficiency in word‑processing software.
• Basic proficiency in spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of social‑media platforms: YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
