Provider Education Trainer

About the role

MetroPlusHealth seeks a Provider Education Trainer to lead onboarding and ongoing training for its provider network. The role focuses on claims and billing procedures, contract compliance, product knowledge, medical management, and pharmacy issues while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver provider onboarding and continuous training both on‑site and remotely.
• Organize training schedules, track attendance, set up classroom and practicum sessions, and prepare training materials and handouts.
• Provide customer‑service support to the provider network, including credentialing assistance, claims resolution, and advocacy.
• Develop a standard orientation package for newly contracted providers.
• Promote technology adoption and skill development to improve provider business practices.
• Document and monitor training programs for compliance and effectiveness.
• Ensure contract compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Participate in cross‑functional teams to resolve system issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health‑care administration, marketing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a managed‑care or provider organization, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the behavioral‑health field preferred.
• Ability to travel within the MetroPlusHealth service area.
• Professional competencies including integrity, customer focus, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prepare written and oral reports.
