Project Mechanical Engineer (ME-III)

About the role

The Project Mechanical Engineer (ME‑III) leads and technically manages engineering and design activities for complex mechanical and ocean‑deployed systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced engineering analytical and design methods to complex mechanical and ocean‑deployed systems.
• Coordinate and supervise an interdisciplinary design team of engineers, designers, drafters, technical writers and technicians.
• Track progress, evaluate results and ensure technical adequacy of design solutions.
• Estimate resource requirements, manage project scope and schedule, and approve technical deliverables.
• Write test procedures, conduct tests, compile data and produce required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Ocean Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in concept development, analysis, design, integration and testing of complex mechanical/ocean systems.
• At least 2 years of experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Proficiency with MATLAB.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
