Project Manager – USCG Production Control

About the role

The Production Control Manager will provide onsite project management support to the USCG Shipyard in Mobile, AL. You will ensure the shipbuilder’s management control system complies with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) guidelines and deliver timely insights on schedule and cost performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct system surveillance activities to verify compliance with EVMS and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) requirements.
• Develop and maintain a review process for shipbuilder deliverables related to Earned Value Management and IMS.
• Analyze the shipbuilder’s IMS, mini‑network schedules, and OPC contracts to identify risks, compliance gaps, and potential delays.
• Coordinate with program integrators and acquisition teams to document and approve changes to the contractor’s system.
• Perform quality assurance on the event‑based IMS and maintain an accurate copy for planning and tracking.
• Maintain the OPC physical progressing model using Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Power BI.
• Identify schedule conflicts, propose corrective actions, and support milestone tracking throughout the program lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production control or project management within shipbuilding or large‑scale engineering programs.
• Strong understanding of EVMS guidelines, OPC contracts, and CLIN requirements.
• Ability to conduct detailed schedule analysis and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with shipbuilder, program integrators, and acquisition personnel.
