Project Manager II – Global Engineering, Maintenance & Sustainability

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Project Manager II to lead new‑build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects within the Global Engineering, Maintenance & Sustainability (GEMS) organization. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage vendor schedules, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with standardized processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage medium to large capital projects, overseeing schedule, budget, and scope.
• Partner with program managers to secure resources, define milestones, and drive delivery.
• Own program communication, clear blockers, and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate multiple vendors simultaneously and interface with all organizational levels.
• Develop and govern execution of business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for assigned programs.
• Maintain project health trackers, risk registers, and safety reporting.
• Travel up to 80% nationwide and work from the corporate office when not traveling.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing medium to large capital projects with significant schedule commitments.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively and relocate within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
• Strong communication skills to influence design, drive decisions, and report status.
