Program Associate – Greenhouse Research

About the role

The Division of Agriculture at the University of Arkansas is seeking a Program Associate to join its greenhouse and horticulture research team. This position supports applied research on edible and ornamental crops grown in containers and hydroponic systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments focused on greenhouse and hydroponic production.
• Collect, manage, and analyze experimental data.
• Prepare research reports and documentation.
• Provide day‑to‑day care for plants, including watering, pruning, and pest management.
• Maintain greenhouse facilities and equipment.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb periodically.
• Comfort working in hot, humid greenhouse conditions or outdoors during summer months.
• Commitment to a regular work schedule within normal business hours.
