Process Engineer II – Semiconductor

About the role

The Process Engineer II supports new product introductions in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Engineering NPI Manager, the role ensures that each incoming product follows the correct methodology, develops or updates process specifications, and prepares work instructions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess incoming products using customer documentation and set up new process specifications for qualification jobs.
• Update legacy process specifications to current standards.
• Direct Engineering Technicians and act as a communication conduit between management, production, and operations.
• Audit product‑related documents for conformance to internal and external specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and sketches, and coordinate projects using engineering project‑management tools.
• Prepare for and participate in customer audits, and create or update departmental procedures.
• Collaborate with customers, third‑party suppliers, and vendors to develop equipment and tooling specifications.
• Train employees on new product processing before transition to regular production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with 1‑3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree in a technical field.
• Experience working on new product introductions and qualification processes.
• Ability to work closely with senior engineers, EH&S, and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Interpretation of engineering drawings and sketches.
• Use of engineering project‑management tools.
• Document auditing for specification compliance.
