About the role

The Buffalo Public School District is seeking a probationary Computer Science Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The role involves delivering high‑quality computer science instruction to high‑school students within the Career & Technical Education program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core computer science subjects, including modern programming languages such as C++, Java, and JavaScript.
• Deliver curriculum on Digital Foundations, Advanced Digital Circuits, Microprocessors, programming basics, and networking fundamentals.
• Collaborate with industry partners and local colleges to enhance curriculum relevance and provide real‑world learning opportunities.
• Assess student progress, maintain classroom records, and contribute to departmental planning.

Required profile

• Hold a valid Buffalo or New York State teaching certificate in Computer Science.
• Ability to teach high‑school students and manage a classroom environment.
