About the role

The Pre‑Registration Specialist II supports the patient intake process at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Working within the Clinical Staff – Medical Ancillary Support team, the specialist ensures accurate pre‑registration of patients in the Workday system and assists with related administrative tasks. This full‑time, day‑shift position contributes to efficient patient flow and high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information in Workday.
• Coordinate with clinical departments to resolve registration discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Assist patients and families with registration inquiries.
• Generate reports on registration metrics for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• U.S. work authorization on the first day of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health administration preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
