Postdoctoral Fellow – Socio‑Computational Modeling

About the role

The COSMOS Research Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a full‑time Postdoctoral Fellow to advance socio‑computational modeling of cyber campaigns on social media. The position is provisional and funded through a grant or contract, with renewal dependent on continued funding and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop socio‑computational models that capture group formation, activation, decentralized decision‑making, and collective action on social platforms.
• Extract relevant open‑source information using guided snowball data‑collection, cyber forensics, and deep‑web search methodologies.
• Collaborate with the research team to create predictive models of socio‑technical behaviors.
• Document model development, data collection processes, and research findings.

Required profile

• Postdoctoral‑level researcher with experience in computational social science or related fields.
• Proven ability to work independently on grant‑funded research projects.
