Portfolio Manager – Agency MBS

About the role

Invesco’s Structured Investments team is seeking a Portfolio Manager to lead the Agency MBS strategy across its mutual funds, ETFs and institutional accounts. The role involves generating investment ideas, managing portfolios and collaborating with the broader Fixed Income team.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Agency MBS expertise to generate and implement investment ideas through comprehensive analysis of specified pools, CMOs, TBAs, and other agency mortgage derivatives.
• Manage portfolios focused primarily on Agency MBS across various investment vehicles, including mutual funds, ETFs and separately managed institutional accounts.
• Collaborate with portfolio management colleagues on investment strategies managed by the broader Structured Investments and Invesco Fixed Income team.
• Employ a relative‑value mindset when assessing cross‑sector asset‑allocation opportunities across structured products and investment‑grade credit sectors.
• Design and execute advanced hedging strategies.
• Develop and communicate investment outlook to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships with sell‑side counterparties to achieve best execution on Agency MBS sourcing and trading.
• Cultivate partnerships with retail and institutional clients.
• Commercialize Agency MBS and structured‑product capabilities through product development and marketing efforts.

Required profile

• 10+ years of direct experience analyzing, trading, and managing risk in Agency MBS, including TBAs, specified pools, CMOs, and derivatives.
• CFA or MBA preferred.
