About the role
The University of Arkansas is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to join its Plumbing Shop. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on training while supporting licensed tradesmen in campus facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Help licensed tradesmen install plumbing components in campus buildings.
- Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and other trade‑specific duties.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training and demonstrate a willingness to learn the plumbing craft.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and at least 18 years of age.
- Regular, reliable attendance and ability to work well with others.
Required skills
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in plumbing trades.
- Skilled in operating and caring for tools and machinery.
- Ability to perform manual labor under varying conditions and follow oral instructions.
