Physical Therapist Assistant – Pediatric (Birth to 5)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a contracted Physical Therapist Assistant to join the interdisciplinary team at the Kids First clinic. This role focuses on delivering evidence‑based therapy to children from birth to five years old who present with a range of gross‑motor delays and disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands‑on, evidence‑based physical therapy techniques tailored to pediatric patients.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with UAMS standards.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Arkansas Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and high‑quality patient care.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Compliance with UAMS Covid‑19 vaccination policy or approved exemption.

Required skills

• Proficiency in pediatric physical therapy techniques for gross‑motor development.
