Physical Security Systems Engineer

About the role

Black Birch Technology Group is seeking a technically skilled and highly organized Physical Security Systems Engineer to support a U.S.-based commercial security integrator. You will act as a key technical resource for new system onboarding, remote support, and ongoing system health management while working closely with sales, customer success, field technicians, and leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sales and customer success to gather technical information, configure databases, controllers, panels, cloud intercoms, and access control platforms, and create field‑ready configuration packages.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, triage and resolve support tickets, perform remote troubleshooting, and coordinate escalations to field technicians or engineering leadership.
• Monitor deployed systems for device availability, connectivity, firmware status, licensing, and overall health; develop SOPs, documentation, and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities combined with excellent communication and client‑service skills.
• Experience working with physical security systems, access control, CCTV, intercom, or related security technologies.
• Ability to organize site details, credential lists, door and camera schedules, and network requirements for deployment.
