Pharmacy Technician IV - Specialty Pharmacy Operations

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician IV will support specialty pharmacy operations within a major academic medical center. Working on the day shift, the technician will ensure accurate processing of complex medication orders and provide high‑quality service to patients and clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify specialty medication prescriptions in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to facilitate timely medication delivery.
• Maintain inventory of specialty drugs, including storage, documentation, and expiration tracking.
• Prepare and compound medications as required, following aseptic techniques.
• Document all activities accurately in the pharmacy management system.
• Provide concierge prescription delivery services on campus when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Prior experience in a specialty or medical pharmacy setting.
• Ability to work day‑shift hours and handle a fast‑paced environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
