Personal Banker – Customer Relationship & Transaction Specialist

About the role

The Personal Banker will serve as the primary point of contact for customers at our Big Bend branch, delivering courteous service and handling a wide range of non‑lending transactions. The role focuses on building strong relationships, cross‑selling bank products, and ensuring accurate, secure processing of daily banking activities.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close savings, checking, money‑market, and CD accounts for individuals, joint, custodial, and business customers.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, money orders, and cashier’s checks.
• Assist customers with wire transfers, address changes, stop payments, and digital banking access issues.
• Promote and enroll customers in ancillary services such as debit cards, NetTeller, BillPayer, Good Life Club, and foreign‑currency transactions.
• Maintain security controls, monitor for fraudulent activity, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Provide additional branch support such as safe‑deposit box rentals, IRA/HSA account opening, and notary services as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1‑2 years of banking experience preferred.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Professional demeanor, high level of confidentiality, and ability to follow policies and regulations.
