About the role
The Patient Services Associate supports the Behavioral Health Service Line by providing front‑line assistance to patients and families during night‑shift hours. This position ensures smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate service within a clinical nursing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and check‑in patients, verify insurance and collect necessary information.
- Coordinate patient appointments, transfers, and discharge processes.
- Maintain accurate electronic health record entries and update patient status.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff, physicians, and external departments.
- Handle patient inquiries, address concerns, and provide information about services.
- Support the behavioral health team in scheduling and logistical tasks during night shifts.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare education preferred.
- Experience in a patient‑facing role within a hospital or behavioral health setting.
- Ability to work night‑shift hours and remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Required skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, data entry).
