Patient Care Technician – Neuroscience Clinics

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join its Neuroscience Clinics. In this day‑shift, onsite position you will support nursing staff and provide direct care to patients undergoing neurological evaluation and treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, positioning, and mobility.
• Collect and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient observations.
• Prepare examination rooms and equipment for neurological procedures.
• Transport patients to and from diagnostic areas while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate records in the electronic health‑record system.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to deliver high‑quality care.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Patient Care Technician or CNA preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and teamwork.

Required skills

• Basic patient care techniques (vital sign measurement, ambulation assistance).
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation.
