About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks a qualified Patient Care Contractor to provide intra‑operative neuro‑monitoring services within its neurology department. This contractor role supports peri‑operative teams by delivering expert neurological monitoring during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform real‑time intra‑operative neuro‑monitoring for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures.
• Collaborate with peri‑operative services and surgical teams to interpret monitoring data and advise on neurological status.
• Document monitoring findings accurately and communicate results to the surgical team.
• Maintain compliance with UAMS policies, including vaccination requirements and legal work authorization.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with experience in intra‑operative neuro‑monitoring.
• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.
• Ability to work onsite at UAMS facilities.
