Part‑Time Teller – North Shore, Staten Island

About the role

Santander is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented Part‑Time Teller to join its North Shore branch in Staten Island. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with everyday banking needs while upholding the bank’s high standards of service and security.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, minimize wait times, and assist with deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other transactions.
• Handle cash accurately and maintain balanced cash drawers.
• Follow all bank policies, compliance, and risk‑management procedures to prevent fraud.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and refer customers to appropriate products.
• Educate customers on digital self‑service tools.
• Support custodial duties, audits, and other operational tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist nearby branches when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 6 months of cash‑handling experience.
• Minimum 6 months of customer‑service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible branch hours, including evenings and weekends.
