Part‑Time Teller – Homecrest Branch

About the role

Santander is seeking a friendly and detail‑oriented Part‑Time Teller for its Homecrest branch in Brooklyn. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with everyday banking needs while upholding the bank’s standards for security and service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, minimize wait times and provide high‑quality service.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain cash drawer balances and follow all cash‑handling procedures.
• Adhere to compliance, risk‑management and fraud‑prevention policies.
• Identify cross‑sell opportunities and refer customers to appropriate products.
• Educate customers on digital self‑service tools.
• Assist with custodial duties, audits and other operational tasks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Support nearby branch locations when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• At least 6 months of cash‑handling experience.
• Minimum 6 months of customer‑service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow policies, identify risk and escalate concerns.
• Effective listening and communication skills.
• Comfortable using digital tools and basic computer applications.
• Energetic, organized and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work branch hours, including evenings and weekends.
