Part‑Time Cosmetology Instructor (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Cosmetology Instructor to join the faculty of the University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College’s Little Rock South Campus. This temporary, substitute teaching position supports our cosmetology program by delivering high‑quality instruction to a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lecture, lab and hands‑on instruction in cosmetology courses, including hair, makeup and nail modules.
• Develop and update course materials, lesson plans and assessments in line with industry standards.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and support to promote student retention and success.
• Participate in departmental meetings, college initiatives and committee work.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment and comply with college policies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in cosmetology and a commitment to high academic standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with a culturally diverse campus.
• Flexibility to teach a variety of interdisciplinary cosmetology courses as demand fluctuates.
• Willingness to engage in non‑instructional responsibilities such as committee service.
