Part-time Police Officer

About the role

The Campus Police Department of Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas is seeking a part‑time police officer to serve as a uniformed presence on campus, promote lawful behavior, and protect the welfare of students, faculty, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular security patrols throughout campus facilities.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents.
• Enforce safety codes, regulations, and campus policies.
• Perform building security and lock procedures.
• Complete routine paperwork and incident reports.
• Provide personal protection services to individuals on campus.
• Detect problems, report information, and maintain situational awareness.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle for patrol duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified law‑enforcement officer by the Arkansas Law Enforcement Standards Training Academy or a comparable academy.
• Valid Arkansas driver’s license.
• Three to five years of experience as a police officer.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
